This was the second national philatelic exhibition held in Southland in five years; it may well qualify as the most southerly stamp exhibition in the world.  ASTROPHILATELY is the theme for the exhibition. Some world-class thematic exhibits dealing with space and space travel. Two miniature sheets were produced for it - one from NZ and another from the Norfolk Islands. Orbit Gets a Pat on the Back Our magazine received some very nice comments in a review of the last ten issues by philatelic writer Ian McQueen in the February issue of Gibbons Stamp Monthly. The 300-word article with illustration concludes, "One abiding impression of these neatly produced journals is of their huge array of illustrations" and he also concludes, "The Society itself is very obviously enthusiastic and lively".
