Thursday March 24th 1988
Progress 35 was launched at 00:05 Moscow time.
Friday March 25th 1988
The crew is waiting to receive the Progress craft. It is carrying the usual supplies of fuel, food and water and, at the crew’s request, plenty of periodicals and videotapes of the Winter Olympics in Calgary, especially as Titov and Manarov are both avid hockey fans.
Saturday March 26th 1988
Progress 35 docked with the Mir complex at 01:22 Moscow time.
Sunday March 27th and Monday March 28th 1988
The cosmonauts began unloading Progress.
Tuesday March 29th 1988
Today is the 100th day of their space flight. The cosmonauts received a medical check—up. Vladimir Titov said; “We are in a good mood as far as our work is con6erned”. Both cosmonauts noted that they had scarcely noticed the passage of time aboard Mir.
Wednesday March 30th to Friday April 1st 1988
Continuation of astrophysical experiments.
Saturday April 2nd and Sunday April 3rd 1988
During their usual weekend-off the cosmonauts performed rigorous physical exercises on doctors orders.
Monday April 4th 1988
The cosmonauts carried out experiments with the Maria and Kristallisator apparatus.
Tuesday April 5th 1988
Titov and Manarov photographed the Baltic and Black seas. They also took pictures of rivers and lakes in East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Poland.
Wednesday April 6th to Monday April 11th 1988
These days were spent conducting astrophysical experiments.
Tuesday April 12th 1988
Today was Cosmonautics Day celebrating the flight of Yuri Gagarin in 1961.
Wednesday April 13th 1988
Amongst the astrophysical experiments being performed lately, Titov and Manarov have been closely watching the X-1 pulsar in the Cygnus constellation.
Thursday April 14th 1988
There were medical, astrophysical and technological experiments today. Radio Moscow admitted that the cosmonauts were “falling behind” with their schedule, which was due to too much work and the demands of astrophysicists, biologists and doctors.
Friday April 15th 1988
The cosmonauts observed the Supernova in the Large Magellanic Galaxy.
Saturday April 16th and Sunday April 17th 1988
Another weekend devoted to rest.
Monday April 18th 1988
This is the 120th day in earth orbit and both Titov and Manarov are feeling well but they told Mission Control that they sometimes miss human communication and that is one reason they are looking forward to the forthcoming Soviet- Bulgarian space flight.
